Hosts of the event, Publicis Groupe, used the conference as an arena to announce the winners of their Publicis90 startup initiative, which boasted a total investment fund of €10 million. Parcelly was overjoyed to be announced as a GOLD winner of the initiative. From over 3,500 applications all over the world, Parcelly was selected as one of the top 20 startups. This prize truly put the cherry on top of what had already been an unbelievable weekend.
Parcelly shortlisted in two categories at Hermes Retail Week Supply Chain Awards 2016
Being shortlisted for a competition with previous winners such as O2, John Lewis and DHL is a credit to the impressive work done by Parcelly during their short life of only 18 months. With multiple very exciting upcoming developments and over 600 locations across the UK and beyond, Parcelly has set some huge targets to disrupt the logistics industry and become the go-to choice for consumers with regards to click-and-collect.
Highlights of the Sharing Economy conference in London
Our own CEO, Sebastian Steinhauser, was invited to speak on a panel about policy where his thoughts about how current UK and European policies will affect the sharing economy and business in general for the UK.
The conference offered multiple opportunities to speak with like-minded business owners who see opportunity in 'using what already exists' to create incredible and successful businesses. Parcelly achieves this by utilising redundant space in existing shops and local businesses for people to collect parcels, rather than creating new storage space.
Parcelly announced GOLD winner of the Publicis90 initiative
More than 6 months ago, Publicis Groupe, the third largest advertising and PR firm in the world, announced Publicis90 - a global competition to both find and fund 90 startups and entrepreneurs in celebration of the company’s 90th birthday. 6,000 applications from start-ups and entrepreneurs across 141 countries entered the competition, which was then shortlisted to 320 finalists in April. Parcelly was delighted and honoured to have been one of the few firms selected for this shortlist, which included many other incredible start-ups.
